Did You Know Kapil Sharma Played Nana Patekar’s Servant In His Bollywood Debut?

For most people Abbas-Mustan’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon is Kapil Sharma’s debut Hindi film. The project, which also stars Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram and Varun Sharma among others proved to be a catalyst for Kapil’s Bollywood career. However, SpotboyE.com can tell you that this wasn't his debut bollywood film.

The comedian is currently shooting for his next venture, Firangi directed by Rajiv Dhingra.

Kapil was also part of Sunil Pal’s directorial venture, Bhavnao Ko Samjho which found a place in Guinness Book Of World Records for featuring 51 comedians in a single film. But, this too wasn’t his debut film.

Which project then, you ask?

Well, SpotboyE.com has it that Kapil Sharma kick-started his Bollywood career with a film starring Harman Baweja, Genelia D’Souza and Nana Patekar. The film produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Anees Bazmee, was tentatively titled It's My Life and was announced in 2008. And guess what? He essayed the role of Nana’s servant. Yes, that’s right.

The film didn’t release at that time and now, we hear, it will hit theatres after Sridevi’s Mom releases.

Kapil Sharma has been the hottest topic in town (for all the wrong reasons) after his infamous mid-air brawl with Sunil Grover. He continues to face the consequences of his co-stars Sunil, Chandan Prabhakar, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra’s absence from the show as it is said that the show no longer is what it used to be –a happy place.

A few days ago, Kapil sent his loyalist, Kiku Sharda and guest Raju Srivastav packing post a 10-minute shoot since all acts seemed out of sync, the laughter forced and camaraderie missing.

Let’s see if he is able to revive the show post the controversial episode.

As for his debut film, this is a perfect example of a blast from the past. What say?
